The inspected abstract states, in full:
A formal evaluation of the Creekview project has been completed by the B.C. provincial government and CPA. This evaluation will determine the costs/benefits of Creekview as a model for future moves of severely disabled persons into the community. The evaluation looked at several issues such as operating costs, health status of residents at the time of relocation and one year later, quality of attendant staff, standards of care and general level of services provided. Pearson Hospital continues to play a role in the support of the Creekview project.
This is independent, contemporaneous, PubMed-indexed public evidence that:
- a named “Creekview project” existed by 1987;
- contemporaries treated a formal evaluation as already completed;
- that evaluation was attributed here to “the B.C. provincial government and CPA,” not to Patricia Ryan / Ryan & Wiggins;
- the evaluation’s topics (operating costs; health status at relocation and one year later; attendant staff; standards of care; general services) overlap the topics Haw 1989 later paraphrased.
It does not confirm the title “Creekview 202 Project Evaluation Report” as first listed for this archive, nor Ryan / Ryan & Wiggins authorship. Those remain unconfirmed. The article and the evaluation may be the same work, related works, or different documents. Mattinson’s Pearson affiliation is consistent with Haw’s statement that Pearson continued to support Creekview; it is not proof that Pearson authored the evaluation.
