Documented role
No 1980s source from the time that we have read names Walt Lawrence. Hansard, 24 February 1984 and Hansard, 10 April 1986 describe six Creekview residents without naming them. Haw 1989 likewise does not name residents.
Lawrence is not treated here as a CSIL or ECPM design-group member.
Later accounts
Fayerman, Vancouver Sun, 20 September 2018 reports Lawrence describing a 16-year stay at George Pearson Hospital, a group of “five or six” who wanted to direct their own care, a 1985 move into “the Creekview Co-operative Apartment near Granville Island,” an early-1980s Canadian Paraplegic Association cost analysis, and credit to MLA Doug Mowat.
SCI BC, “Walt’s Time,” 2019 retells a 1985 move into semi-independent living at a newly constructed Creekside development “championed by SCI BC’s Doug Mowat,” and says he lived there until marriage. Sources from the time say Creekview. The spelling conflict is recorded, not resolved.

- Whether he is one of the six men described in the 1984 and 1986 Hansard sittings.
- In 1985–87, who hired, paid, and could dismiss attendants at Creekview.
- Whether a written CPA cost analysis before opening is distinct from the 1987 evaluation.
- What “Creekview 202” meant to residents.
- Whether he, or anyone from Creekview that he knows, later sat on an ECPM or CSIL design or advisory group — and in what documented capacity.
- How the 2019 “Creekside” spelling should be treated.
